Notes BeMyWine : Ce monocépage rare – Melon à Queue Rouge, variante mutée du Chardonnay – dévoile une robe or pâle aux reflets dorés. Le nez charme par ses arômes d’amande fraîche, agrumes (citron, pamplemousse blanc) et une touche d’anis, avec une note minérale saline en toile de fond. En bouche, l’équilibre se joue entre fraîcheur vive, texture voluptueuse et finale droite, salivante, rappelant la pierre, avec une acidité bien intégrée. Un vin élégant, à déboucher vers 11-13 °C ; excellent compagnon de poissons grillés, crustacés ou fromages à pâte pressée.

The second bottling of the 2023 Cuvée des Docteurs Melon à Queue Rouge Ouillé, bottled in December 2024, is a very perfumed Chardonnay from old vines on gravel soils and a south-facing exposition. Despite the year and the tendency of the place to ripen, the wine is quite light and tender, with notes of white fruit and flowers, harmonious, elegant and clean. It was fully topped up, and there are no traces of flor.
