The just-bottled 2022 Querencia Deseya is part of their new organic wines, and this is the old-vine Garnacha from four wines in the range. It was produced with grapes from the Miedes region on red colluvial soils, and the grapes were destemmed but not crushed and fermented at low temperature for 35 days. It matured in 225- and 50-liter barrels during malolactic and then was transferred to stainless steel until bottling in April 2023. Fernando Mora from Cuevas de Arom moved his project into San Alejandro, and I believe this wine is partly his influence as it looks very much like his style. This is pale, aromatic, floral, elegant and pretty, with tons of rose petals and an ethereal palate with ultra fine tannins. This is an awesome wine and value. However, this is still very a small volume; I hope they have the chance to grow, because this will be a wine to buy by the case. If this new wine shows the new direction of the winery, I'm very happy. 4,800 bottles produced.
