Notes BeMyWine : This Trousseau cuvée comes from vines planted on the “Ruzard” plot in Montigny-lès-Arsures, on clay soils mixed with flinty stones over iridescent Keuper marls. The nose opens with an expressive bouquet of fresh red fruits (raspberry, blackberry), undergrowth, and soft spices, with a subtle touch of pepper and violet recalling the terroir. On the palate, charm and finesse combine: delicate tannins, supple texture, long finish, with a lively freshness that balances the body. A gastronomic wine, it pairs well with grilled white meats as well as more complex dishes.

The 2021 Arbois Trousseau Ruzard comes from a young plot, now some 15 years old, but it's planted on very good soils with gravel, clay and limestone, the same kind of soil as the Rosier that delivers very elegant wines. It has a mixture of wild berries and herbs with a faint earthy touch, fine-boned and medium-bodied, clean and varietal, with very good balance and freshness, a direct Trousseau, with tension. It should age nicely in bottle. 2,200 bottles produced.
