Notes BeMyWine : Partition is a unique blend of seven wines from the estate’s finest plots, vinified in oak barrels to create perfect harmony. Composed of 72% Chardonnay, 14% Meunier, and 14% Pinot Noir, it expresses balance, finesse, and complexity. Aged 5 to 8 years under natural cork with no fining or filtration, it develops depth and elegance. Finished as an Extra Brut (1 g/L), it impresses with purity, precision, and harmony.

A blend of fruit from Sélèque’s seven vineyard parcels, the 2019 Partition 7 Parcelles is Chardonnay-dominant, complemented by 14% each of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. The wine opens with aromas of candied lemon zest, pear and brioche mingling with notes of Madagascar vanilla and cedarwood oil. Vinified in 50% new oak sourced from Atelier Centre France, Cavin and Taransaud, it was disgorged in August 2024 with a dosage of three grams per liter. Full-bodied, concentrated and enveloping, it reveals a fleshy yet saline profile, brimming with natural sweetness despite its Extra Brut designation. Ripe yet racy acidity lends energy and structure. With its generous personality and charm, this cuvée holds considerable aging potential and is poised to win many admirers.

The wine reveals subtle aromas of flowers and white fruits, a rounded palate, and delicate toasted notes. Served at 10–12 °C, it pairs beautifully with river fish.

From vines perched at the edge of Fleurie, the 2023 Morgon Château Gaillard presents stewed cranberries and black cherries, underscored by a pronounced spiciness. The wine maintains a poised equilibrium, anchored by a condensed core of tannins that guide a focused progression. This is dynamic and thoroughly delicious.

The just-bottled 2022 Querencia Deseya is part of their new organic wines, and this is the old-vine Garnacha from four wines in the range. It was produced with grapes from the Miedes region on red colluvial soils, and the grapes were destemmed but not crushed and fermented at low temperature for 35 days. It matured in 225- and 50-liter barrels during malolactic and then was transferred to stainless steel until bottling in April 2023. Fernando Mora from Cuevas de Arom moved his project into San Alejandro, and I believe this wine is partly his influence as it looks very much like his style. This is pale, aromatic, floral, elegant and pretty, with tons of rose petals and an ethereal palate with ultra fine tannins. This is an awesome wine and value. However, this is still very a small volume; I hope they have the chance to grow, because this will be a wine to buy by the case. If this new wine shows the new direction of the winery, I'm very happy. 4,800 bottles produced.
