Notes BeMyWine : Cuvée 100% cinsault. Vignes d'âge moyen de 35 ans sur terrasses caillouteuses (éboulis calcaires). Parcelle de 2,3 ha sur l’ilot de la Barthassade à Montpeyroux. Rendement 35 hl/ha. Raisins 85% égrappés, levures indigènes, travail par gravité, remontages pendant les 2/3 de la fermentation puis pigeages, contrôle des températures, cuvaison de 2 semaines et demi. Elevage de 8 mois en cuve inox (90%) et barriques (10%). Vin tout en souplesse, caractérisé par des arômes de fruits rouges (cerise, fraise) et de sureau, de la finesse et de la fraicheur en bouche. Déguster à 15-16°C.

Planted in 1920 and 1953, the 2022 Morgon Château Gaillard unveils aromas of blueberry compote, currants and lilac. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it bursts with a subtle intensity in both depth and length. Initially marked by ripe acids and juicy berry fruit, the wine evolves and shifts to focus on the burgeoning structure. Fine-grained tannins carve definition into the body, bestowing length and finesse, with hints of white pepper that tie the elements together. It retains just enough flesh to soften the impact, a crucial element for working with a terroir renowned for its tightly woven character. This is a wine to age, no doubt.

Notes bemywine : For this Wijnbergperzik, we macerated vineyard peaches from the field of Ludo Rosseels, Gelrode, Brabant, Flanders. For macerating and blending, we used one- and two-year lambikken, originating from eleven different brews and five different barrels. The peaches macerated for more than three months on wooden barrels. The final fruit proportion is 398 grams of vineyard peaches per litre of Wijnbergperzik. About 70% of the cereals for this pure 3 Fonteinen blend used were sourced from our Cereal Collective. Bottled on 07/12/2023.
