Domaine Berthenet, located in Montagny-les-Buxy, is a family-run winery that has been cultivating vines for four centuries. It now covers 20 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards, mainly Chardonnay, spread across several Premier Cru plots. Under the direction of François Berthenet since 2009, the estate produces elegant white wines that combine richness and freshness, authentically reflecting the terroir of the Côte Chalonnaise. The cuvées, such as Tête de Cuvée and Platières, are renowned for their finesse and aging potential.

Notes BeMyWine : The Les Platières Premier Cru plot, located on a mid-slope plateau in the Montagny 1er Cru appellation, is east-facing on clayey soil and covers 1.8?ha with vines around 35 years old. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, gently pressed, and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks or oak barrels to preserve freshness, fruit, and complexity. The wine captivates with its white-fleshed fruit aromas, a soft attack, and elegant persistence on the palate. Served at 10–12°C, it pairs perfectly with aperitifs, Bresse chicken, and other white meats.
